Marta Matyla, born in Poland, is a mosaic artist continuously searching for new creative paths. Over the past ten years, her life has unfolded between Poland, Italy, and Canada. Most recently, she worked in Montreal, where she specialized in floor mosaics and artistic wall compositions, while simultaneously developing her passion for jewelry adorned with mosaic decorations.
She works across multiple techniques — Greco-Roman, Byzantine, and modern — embracing the idea that mosaic as a medium has no limits. Marta graduated from the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli in Italy in 2022. Her love for art, travel, traditions, and human connection is something she shares closely with her twin sister, with whom she continues her artistic journey as part of the MatylasMosaic team.
The “Albania is Biodiversity” project came at the right moment in her path, as nature holds deep personal significance for her and she sees this project as a powerful educational and cultural gesture that will leave a lasting mark for generations in Albania.
