Małgorzata “Gosia” Matyla is a Polish mosaic artist and graduate of the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli (Italy, 2022). She has worked internationally , most recently in Canada, specializing in both industrial marble floor mosaics and artistic mosaic compositions. Her practice ranges from structured geometric patterns to figurative and image-based mosaics, while also pursuing her passion for micro-mosaic jewelry. This passion is something she shares closely with her twin sister, with whom she continues her artistic journey as part of the MatylasMosaic team.

Her work reflects a strong connection to nature and a belief in art as a means of cultural storytelling and environmental awareness — one of the main reasons for her involvement in the “Albania is Biodiversity” campaign. Within the campaign, Gosia contributes to the handcrafted realization of the large-scale mosaic installation in Tirana as part of a five-member mosaic production team.
