Jutta Benzenberg is a German photographer known for her powerful documentary and portrait work, particularly in Albania, where she has photographed since 1991. Trained in Munich, she began her career in film and photography before turning her focus to Albania’s post-communist transformation, often collaborating with her late husband, writer Ardian Klosi (1957-2012). Her black-and-white images capture social and political realities with emotional depth, often highlighting marginalized communities. Benzenberg has published several photobooks and exhibited internationally. Her work blends documentary urgency with poetic, human-centered storytelling.
